Brandon Ford was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, and is a proud graduate and valedictorian of Buchtel High School, class of 1996. He represents District 5 on Summit County Council. Brandon is a nurse and attorney with a BSN from Case Western Reserve University and a JD/MBA from The University of Akron. He has more than 20 years of business development and corporate counsel experience. He currently serves as Sales Director for a contract manufacturer of personal care products. Before that, he spent 17 years as a Global Business Executive for a multinational ingredient manufacturer, where he ran a startup inside the 90-year-old company. Through that venture, he helped hundreds of entrepreneurs launch and grow their brands through technology, manufacturing, and brand development. He is Head Trustee at his home church, The House of the Lord, President of the Black Elected Officials of Summit County, and a board member of the Glancy Wine Education Foundation and several other nonprofits. Brandon lives in Copley, Ohio, with his wife and two sons.
