Erin Dickinson was appointed At-Large to Summit County Council in June 2022 and elected to a full term in November 2022. She was elected Vice-President of County Council in February 2024. Erin grew up in Stow, and is now residing with her family in Copley. Erin is a business litigation attorney and community activist, as well as a mom of four boys ages 4-13.
As an attorney, Erin advocates for clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States while based in Northeast Ohio. She works to bring together parties with diverse and often conflicting interests to find mutually agreeable solutions. On County Council, she has the skills and experience to bring people together for the good of our communities, as well as the knowledge to craft effective legislation that can stand up to challenges.
As an Executive Board Member of Community Legal Aid, Erin has gained a depth of knowledge regarding the needs of the people living in our communities, as well as a passion for working for positive change for all of our people. As the former Akron local lead for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, she is experienced at fighting for common sense, common ground solutions to the problems that plague our communities. Erin works tirelessly for the children and families of our communities.
Erin earned a B.A. magna cum laude in History and English (with honors) from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. She is an Executive Board Member of Community Legal Aid.
